Welcome to ISLM 2022
Spend Two Days in Alleppey - Venice of the East
As a resort city with canals, backwaters, beaches, and lagoons, Alappuzha was dubbed the "Venice of the East" by Viceroy Curzon in the early 20th century. This year, International seminar on Luminescence Materials (ISLM) will be conducted in this beautiful city of "God's Own Country". The Seminar has been jointly organised by Department of Physics of All Saints' College, Thiruvananthapuram Mahatma Gandhi College,Thiruvananthapuram, Sanatana Dharma College, Alappuzha & Department of Nanoscience & Nanotechnology, University of Kerala. The programme is organised in collaboration with Luminescence Society of India (Regd. No. GJ/1156 September 1996, C/O Applied Physics Department,Faculty of Technology and Engineering, M.S. University Baroda, Baroda-390001,Gujarat).
ISLM -2022 envisages diversified and multi- disciplinary technical sessions; amongst few are plenary lectures and an exhibition of equipment and other materials. Latest developments in the field of luminescence research and its applications will be reviewed and the conference is expected to provide an interactive platform to the academia, researchers and the industry. Participations from different industries, universities and academic institutions from all over the country are anticipated.
The organizing committee hereby invites scientists/technologists engaged in basic as well as applied research in Universities, Research Institutions and Industries to participate. The scientific sessions will comprise plenary talks, invited talks, Technical Talks and contributed papers (both oral and poster) on the following topics:
1.PL, EL, TL and OSL applications
2. Phosphors and nanophosphors
(preparation and characterization) 3.Photonic materials and lasers
4. Luminescence from glasses and glass
ceramics
5.Luminescence from organic compounds
6. Luminescence in gemstones and diamonds
7.Luminescence for improving agriculture productivity
8.Mchano, sono and chemiluminescence 9.Optoelectronic devices (LEDs, OLEDs,
Fiber optic sensors, etc.)
10.Radiations effects on luminescence and
dosimetry, Luminescence dating , Space
dosimetry
11.Luminescence instrumentation
12.Phosphors for LED applications
13.Phosphors for improving efficiency of solar cells.

The programme will be in Hybrid mode (Online and Offline). The seminar sessions will be held in a houseboat, allowing the participants to experience the backwater beauty of Alappuzha while they participate in the seminar. The conference will offer all delegates a unique academic experience.
All sessions will be recorded and made available to online participants at 7 pm on this website under the tab seminar sessions. Live streaming will however be available for the inaugural and valedictory sessions.
